Painting in Sardinia

Explore and paint Sardinia, an Italian island full of varied landscapes, cuisine, culture and flamingos. Yes, flamingos!

Introduction

Away from the tourist hotspots in the north, this painting holiday will introduce you to the old-world charms of the south-west. An unspoilt corner of the Mediterranean, you’ll see and paint the layered history of old Sardinian towns, abandoned mines and rugged cliffs tumbling down to the azure oceans where characterful locals while away their afternoons with friends.

Why paint Here?

Sardinia has an amazing mix of things to paint, It’s a relatively unexplored area of Italy, so you won’t find the normal touristic tat you find in beachside towns elsewhere. Instead you’ll find a slice of real Mediterranean Italy that remains unspoilt.

The joy of food will play a big part of your holiday, too! Not only will you get hands-on in the kitchen making ravioli, you’ll also be given personal insights into local cheese production and feast on the best of regional dishes in hidden trattorias and farms.

What makes this trip special?

Sardinia - so why go? Well, for the same reasons that draw Italians from their manicured mainland year after year! More than 1,000 miles of unspoilt coastline, pure turquoise sea, a rugged interior of mountains, caves, forests and olive groves. It's all about the wildness, quietness and simplicity that reflects Sardinia's splendid isolation. Italy unadorned!

Here you can immerse yourself in just being creative with like minded people, a wonderful tutor and landscapes that will leave you buzzing with ideas.  Then at the end of the day you can drink in the spectacular sunsets while enjoying an aperitif and contemplating your creative success!
