Arriving in Johannesburg in the morning we transfer to our four star hotel in the city.
After checking in for a rest and freshen up we’ll meet for a welcome talk lunch and a first photography lesson.
Head to Soweto Township for a tour of the area, learning about the struggle South African’s face in everyday life.
Evening meal of traditional South African fare.
This morning we’ll rise early for breakfast at the hotel and take a flight to Botswana’s capital, Gaborone.

After a lesson on street photography, we’ll hit the streets of the city to
photograph Botswanans going about their daily lives.

After breakfast it’s time to jump into our private bus and hit the road. We’re heading into the famous wilderness area of the Tuli Block (approximately 4 hours).
Check in to our accommodation :the Oasis Lodge which will be our base for the next two nights.
We’ll be given a talk with essential information for the next few days: what to look out for in the bush and how to stay safe!
After an introduction to some important camera skills for wildlife photography we head out on a game drive for our first glimpses of local wildlife.

After an early breakfast we’ll divide into two groups for the day’s activities in the world class reserve Limpopo Lapadi which is just a short drive from our base at Oasis.
One group will join a team of rangers and photograph their work tackling rhino poaching.
Meanwhile group two will be tracking the endangered wild dogs and other predators both on foot and with vehicles..

Breakfast and transfer by 4x4 vehicles to The River Lodge- based in the central Tuli area and only 2 hours’ drive away.
Lunch and an insight into the nature of the area from the park staff.
As the sun gets lower we’ll set up in hides in the park to capture shots of elephants in the evening light.

Tonight, we’re staying in safari tents. Before turning in we’ll have a night
photography session, photographing the stars.
After breakfast we set off by 4x4 to a local village to meet local leaders and learn about village live.
Our tour of the village will include a stop to see how local ‘moonshine’ is made.
Drive back to The River Lodge spotting wildlife on route before sundowners and an evening meal around the camp fire
As always in the African bush we start early again and set of on foot for a 5km walk along the river to enjoy wildlife sightings on foot
We will picnic in the bush along the iconic and famous Limpopo river before hiking back to camp
As day 7 is the last night in the bush we will have local dancers and musicians come to our camp for a bush leaving party of drinks and a feast cooked on the fire
Breakfast at The River lodge and travel to the border crossing inot South Africa.
After entering South Africa we will be back in our own private mini bus and onto Madia Thava lodge in the mountains.
We will have lunch at the lodge before setting of again for a cultural tour of the local Tshi Venda people and village areas.
Evening meal will be back at the wonderful and hop Madia Thava lodge.
After breakfast we check out and its back into our bus and onto Johannesburg.
