A fun, sociable evening in which you will get a taste of the wonderful world of drawing. Get friends to join you as well, for something a bit different and a good laugh!

During this short two hour evening course, intended for complete beginners, you'll soon be putting pencil to paper with confidence as you begin to learn some techniques for getting the most out of your drawing.

This is a chance to have fun with your sketching in a relaxed comfortable setting, maybe learning some basic drawing techniques for the first time, or to brush up on your existing skills. Either way you will enjoy a truly fun, inspiring and sociable session in beautiful surroundings, with jargon-free, down to earth tuition from your lovely Frui tutor.

This course is also the ideal jumping off point for the next stage of our drawing programme - Sketching for the Scared!

What should you bring?

All the basic drawing materials are provided, however if you want to bring your own please feel free. Some people might want to bring a sketch pad, otherwise lose sheets are provided by the tutors. Otherwise just bring yourselves, and a big dollop of creativity.

Please note: It can get cold in the gallery, so please wrap up warm.

A little about Frui's approach to teaching . . .

We adopt a positive approach to learning, meaning our encouraging and supportive tutors focus on what you are doing right, not wrong. Our tutors are all practicing artists, they are also experienced tutors who will encourage you to develop your own artistic voice and help to draw out what is individual about your work. There is no 'one size fits all' here!
